Amanda DeVoe is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Journalism. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from DePaul University.
Amanda’s interest in Journalism began when she was in fifth grade after she decided to start a school newspaper. In high school, a local reporter visited her class and reinforced her passion to tell great stories. Since, she has worked with multimedia news and television production through various blogs and internships, including NBC News Channel, CBS Radio News, a local ABC affiliate and the Travel Channel. She also has experience working in public relations for a boutique public relations agency and a nonprofit organization.
Amanda is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Society of Professional Journalists. She lives by the mantra, “Everyone deserves to have a voice.”
